As an example, in the starter kits you get a sachet of gin flavouring but you also get a pack of juniper berries. Here's your chance to try both and compare. You're not limited to gin either, there are other flavours for you to experiment with and they include lemon peel, orange peel and coriander. If you have the Still Spirits T500 (with the stainless or copper condenser), or the Alembic still then you may want to add this little piece of kit to your equipment.

The Botanical Basket (not to be confused with the Air Still Infusion Basket) for the T500 will make producing flavoured spirits a breeze. Once fitted to the condenser it's simply a matter of adding quantities of botanicals to give it the flavour you require.

There are a many ready made recipes available on the internet for making spirits with botanicals. Very popular are gin recipes. You can, naturally, adapt these recipes to suit your taste. Who know's with enought experimentation you could come up with a real winner.

If you would like to see how to go about using the Botonical Basket you can check out our lastest video 'Still Spirits - Botanical Basket' on our YouTube Channel.

This is the latest product release from Still Spirits. It's the new Botanical Basket for use with the T500 and Alembic Distillation systems.

It really does make producing spirits like gin and other plant based spirits a pleasure. It simply replaces the backing nut from of the condenser on either the T500 or Alembic stills. And thats it, you ready to go. It can also be used in the production of essential oils.

It comes complete with instructions which I thoroughly recommend you read before use. You can take a look at those instructions on our product page 'Still Spirits - Botanical Basket Instructions' here.

It's a robust bit of kit made from good quality stainless steel, with a fine mesh bottom and a course gauze on the top. When it's screwed into the still's condenser you become aware that this product was engineered to give you the confidence when tightening.

If you are regularly producing naturally flavoured spirits then it deserves your consideration.

. . . not just because it convenient to purchase them altogether. But also because they were designed by still spirits for use in there own stills. It appears they got it right because they are sold globally and we sell loads of them.

Turbo Carbon

For the ultimate spirit quality! Turbo Carbon is specifically designed for use during fermentation, and is the perfect alternative to Turbo Sugar where it is unavailable. It has a unique activated internal pore structure which removes impurities not taken out by post distillation filtration.

It significantly improves the performance of all Turbo Yeasts and is essential for use with Triple Distilled Turbo Yeast.

Pure Turbo Yeast

Pure Turbo should be used where ultimate alcohol quality is of primary importance. Only use where cool air temperature (between 18 deg C) can be maintained.

This is a revolutionary breakthrough in Turbo Yeast development making it possible to produce "triple distilled" quality alcohol in the home. It is essential to use Turbo Carbon with Triple Distilled Turbo Yeast.

Turbo Clear

Transform your alcohol quality! Turbo Clear is added directly into your turbo wash and within 24 hours removes over 95% of the yeast cells, solids and other compounds from the wash.

If Turbo Clear is not used then yeast cells will break open during the boiling process releasing off flavour and smell into your distillate but also impurities absorbed by fermentation clays and carbons will be released back into the distillate. For the very best alcohol QUALITY use Turbo clear in every wash and rack before distillation
