What do I need to make beer at home?
A beer kit contains liquid malt extract, yeast, and anything else required for the particular style of beer. They also come with full instructions on how to use the ingredients and when.
You will need to buy a beer kit every time you make a new batch.
One of our equipment packs will provide you with all of the items you will need to make your beer.
You only need to buy this once.
All of your equipment is reusable and will last for years.
The first time through we would recommend you set aside around an hour to start the fermentation, and about the same for finishing and bottling/barrelling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it legal?
Yes, perfectly legal!
There are absolutely no legal restrictions when it comes to making beer for your own consumption.
You would, however, need a license to sell it.
Do you do smaller bundles? I don't want to make 40 pints of beer.
A standard beer kit makes 40 pints, although some stronger styles may make slightly less. We don't recommend making less, as you'll be surprised just how quick those 40 pints disappear when your friends and family try it!
What do I do with the equipment afterwards?
Clean it and keep it ready for next time! All of the equipment is reusable. You will need to purchase additional steriliser when you run out as cleanliness is essential for successful fermentation.
How long does it take to make the beer?
It will take around an hour to prepare your fermentation for the first time (you'll be a lot quicker the second time), and the beer itself will ferment in around 5-10 days. You then need to add in a couple of days for clearing. Once bottled or barrelled you will then need to condition the beer for around two weeks.
In most cases, you can have your beer ready to drink within 3 weeks. We can assure you it will be worth the wait!
Is the beer any good?
We've put a lot of work into ensuring our Beerworks Kits are the represent the best possible quality for the price.
Our customers tell us these are just as good as their favourite beers they would drink in their local.
What if I need help?
Don't panic! We are here to help. Just email us at info@lovebrewing.co.uk and we'll make sure the right member of staff answers your questions.
How do I make more beer?
As all of the equipment is reusable, all you need is another Beer Kit. We have a wide range available and recommend our Beerworks Craft Series range, with a style of beer to suit all tastes.
