What do I need to make wine at home?
A wine kit contains all the grape juice and all the required chemicals such as yeast. They also come with full instructions on how to use the ingredients and when.
You will need to buy a wine kit every time you make a new batch
One of our equipment packs will provide you with all of the items you will need to make your wine. You only need to buy this once. All of your equipment is reusable and will last for years.
The first time through we would recommend you set aside around an hour to start the fermentation, and about the same for finishing and bottling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is it legal?
Yes, perfectly legal!
There are absolutely no legal restrictions when it comes to making wine for your own consumption.
You would, however, need a license to sell it.
Do you do smaller bundles? I don't want to make 30 bottles of wine.
Almost all wine kits on the market make 30 bottles, although some 6 bottle kits are available. However, the time needed to make the wine is the same in either case, so we strongly recommend you make 30 bottles. You'll be surprised just how quickly it disappears once your friends and family try it!
What do I do with the equipment afterwards?
Clean it and keep it ready for next time! All of the equipment is reusable. You will need to purchase additional steriliser when you run out as cleanliness is essential for successful fermentation.
How long does it take to make the wine?
It will take around an hour to prepare your fermentation for the first time (you'll be a lot quicker the second time), and the wine itself will ferment in 5-7 days. You then need to add in a couple of days for clearing. Once bottled you can drink the wine immediately.
In most cases, you can have your wine ready to drink within 7 to 9 days.
What about bottling?
We don't include bottles with our starter bundles for two reasons; they are expensive and prone to smashing in transit!
We recommend re-using wine bottles from 'commercial' wine. As long as the bottles are sterilised they are ideal. Screwcap bottles can be re-used as long as the cap is not damaged, and normal bottles can be resealed with new corks. For the latter see our Bottling Starter Pack.
How long does the wine keep once it is made?
..
In most cases, you can have your wine ready to drink within 7 to 9 days.
Is the wine any good?
We've put a lot of work into ensuring our Wineworks Kits are the represent the best possible quality for the price and produce a wine comparable to those you would find in the supermarket for around £6 a bottle.
What if I need help?
Don't panic! We are here to help. Just email us at info@lovebrewing.co.uk and we'll make sure the right member of staff answers your questions.
How do I make more wine?
As all of the equipment is reusable, all you need is another Wine Kit. We have a wide range available and recommend our Wineworks Superior range.
