Belgian Saison - Beerworks Part Grain

Belgian Saison - Beerworks Part Grain

SKU
bwpg03

Belgian-Saison is a gold to light amber in colour. It is highly carbonated and has a yeasty character. This is a very complex style; a very fruity in the aroma and flavor. Look for earthy yeast tones, mild to moderate tartness. Lots of spice and with a medium bitterness. Tends to be semi-dry with many only having touch of sweetness. Average alcohol by volume (abv) range: 5.0-8.0%

We recommend these kits to people who are wanting to experiment a bit further with their beer making but don’t want to go the whole way and invest in a Grainfather type all brewing system.

You will need a very large pan to do the boil plus a straining or mashing and sparging bag and the usual fermentation/brewing equipment (like buckets steriliser and hydrometers etc) as this is purely an ingredients pack.

Allow a couple of hours for this process. It’s fun and you will feel more involved in the whole process.

Please note - Hop's may be delivered in either Leaf or Pellet form according to availability

With the growing popularity of brewing, we've heard from a lot of you who want to move beyond brewing all extract beer kits. Moving straight up to All-Grain brewing can be a bit daunting, so we've developed this excellent range of part-grain, part-extract kits.

These kits use a top quality malt extract, but still requires the boiling and mashing of grains & hops and offers a great introduction into the grain brewing process.

Our part-grain kits take 2-3 hours to make, which is no where near as long as the all-grain kits which can take the best part of a day! To make life easy, you don’t need the full boiling equipment (grandfather, bruheat buckets etc) required by a normal all-grain brew. All you need is a large pan and your kitchen hob.

What You'll Need
  • Large Boiling Pan (Min 15 Litres)
  • 23 Litre Fermenter
  • Thermometer
  • Hydrometer
  • Siphon
  • Steriliser
  • Straining Bag

Note: Equipment for fermentation/brewing and storage/dispensing is not included and should be bought separately.
