This product enables users to control brewing temperature by automatically giving power to either heating or cooling equipment which is connect via the plug sockets. The thermometer is in the form of a probe which can be placed on the side of the brewing container (such as a bucket).

If for cooling, the probe and fermenter can be placed inside a fridge, connected to the cooling socket. Once the temperature is set on the controller, it will power on the fridge as required. If for heating, the controller can be connected to a brew belt or heat tray.

Here’s an example of using a heater to turn on a 20 °C and off at 22 °C.

Plug the controller into the mains and the heater into the ‘hot’ socket of the controller. Hold your finger on the padlock button until a padlock symbol is not displayed on screen.

Disable (lower) the cooling function by holding your finger on ‘cool on temp’ until a new temperature is displayed in red (i.e. not the current temperature). Tap down arrow until it reads well below 20 °C (e.g. 0).

Let go and wait till current temperature is displayed but not so long that the padlock returns. The cool side is now set.

To set the hot side, hold your finger on ‘heat on temp’ until a new temperature is displayed in red (i.e. not the current temperature). Tap the up arrow until it reads 20 °C. Let go and wait till current temperature is displayed and then the padlock.

Now the heater will turn on and stay on when the probe is 20 °C or less and turn off and stay off if goes above 22 °C. The on / off interval is 2 °C (hysteresis) by default.  If it has been changed refer to the instructions.

UK Delivery

We operate a simple structure for UK & Ireland deliveries

https://www.lovebrewing.co.uk/delivery/

Our Free Shipping offer excludes some products and destinations, primarily oversized or overweight items requiring specialist delivery or palletisation. Products impacted are generally identified as such on the product page.

Dispatch & Next-Day Services

Our aim is to send out the same day all orders received by 9am. Sometimes due to a heavy influx of orders (especially over weekends) we may need an extra day to do this. Orders will be dispatched such that you should receive them the next working day by courier (excluding Saturday and Sunday) or by 1st class post (this is not a guarantee, as no UK parcel carrier offers a 100% guarantee on their service). On the rare occasions where we may be let down, or if there is a problem with the order we will aim to notify you.

Delivery Times

In most cases, Delivery to England, Wales, and Lowland Scotland is by a 24 hour, next working day service by DPD. The Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland and all other offshore destinations are usually on a 48+ hour courier services due to logistical issues beyond our control. Small items are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class post untracked. These items are usually delivered within 24 hours, but this can vary (anywhere up to 10 working days), and is unfortunately beyond our control.
