INSTRUCTIONS

Make sure all your equipment is cleaned and sterilised before you start.  Put 21 litres of water at 30°C into your fermenting container. It is easy to adjust the temperature by adding hot or cold water as necessary.

For a 14% ABV add 6 kilos of white granulated sugar or 7 kilos of brewing sugar/glucose to the water. Mix well and make sure all the sugar is dissolved. Your total volume will increase to 25 litres.

Add the Triple PURE turbo yeast and turbo carbon, (squeeze the carbon sachet & break up the contents before opening the sachet) and stir in well. Leave the lid loosely fitted on your brewing bucket for the first few days as the fermentation can be vigorous. Just using only an airlock at the start to vent is not recommended as this may result in over flow and spills through the airlock. After the vigorous fermentation (normally 2-3 days) the lid (with airlock half-filled with water) can be fully pressed down.

The ideal room temperature is between 20°C and 25°C -  the closer to 20°C the slower the fermentation will be with Triple PURE turbo yeast. A slow fermentation will create a better alcohol-wash and result in a cleaner spirit after distillation.

Fermentation will take anything from 3 to 5 days, depending on the room temperature. After 3 days, if the fermentation has slowed you can firmly secure your bucket lid. When the bubbles have stopped coming through the airlock, take a hydrometer reading (the gravity should be between 0.980 and 0.990). When the hydrometer reading is the same for two days the fermentation has finished.

Proceed to degas the liquid by using a spoon/paddle/degasser stick to work out the CO₂ that will have built up in the liquid during the fermentation for 2-3 minutes at a time. This should be repeated several times over the next 12 to 24 hours.

Next, add turbo clear and follow the instructions on the packet.  It is important turbo clear is used as it will remove impurities, odours, esters and yeast from the wash that have been trapped by the activated carbon.  This will help to produce a better quality alcohol distillate.

Brewing sugar/glucose will assist you in producing a much better quality wash rather than using granulated sugar. That will in turn lead to a far superior distilled spirit.

Ingredients: Yeast nutrient, bentonite, dried yeast (yeast, emulsifier (E491)), vitamins, trace minerals, silicon based antiforming agent.

Delivery Times

In most cases, Delivery to England, Wales, and Lowland Scotland is by a 24 hour, next working day service by DPD. The Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland and all other offshore destinations are usually on a 48+ hour courier services due to logistical issues beyond our control. Small items are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class post untracked. These items are usually delivered within 24 hours, but this can vary (anywhere up to 10 working days), and is unfortunately beyond our control.

Returns Information

  • If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, or simply decide you no longer want the goods, we offer a 14 day money back guarantee. Items must be in a new and unused condition, complete with all packaging in the state in which it was delivered.

  • Whilst we endeavour to make sure that glass bottles are packed as well as possible we cannot send out replacement for any breakages. We can either credit or add them to your next order free of charge.

  • If you wish to return goods for a refund, you must write to us by email via contact us or by post at the address below, within seven working days of receiving the goods. We must receive and confirm your refund request prior to you returning the goods.

  • Where a product meets the requirements of our returns policy, we will refund the cost of the items. However, shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Sometimes the product specifications from the manufacturer may change, in which case we will do our best to offer you a substitute of the same or better quality at the same price. Where applicable, you may cancel your order in accordance with your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations.

  • All sizes and measurements are approximate but we do try to make sure that they are as accurate as possible.

  • Once a return has been authorised, we must receive the goods within 21 working days.

  • Returned goods remain responsibility of customer until received by us. You must take reasonable care when returning goods to ensure they are not damaged in transit.

  • When returning goods we recommend you use a signed for delivery service, and request that you obtain proof of postage.

  • Return postage costs are bearable by the customer.

  • Upon accepting a return request, we will endeavour to refund the cost of the items back to the original purchasing card/account within 30 days.
